site creators

Pierre (Peter) A. Walker is Professor of English at Salem State College and co-general editor of the forthcoming Complete Letters of Henry James. As project director of DearHenryJames.org, he transcribed, proofread, and annotated letters, and helped determine the site's overall design.

Jamie Jamieson is a graduate student at Salem State College, preparing to become a high school English teacher. A reporter and editor for more than 25 years, she currently works as a reporter for The Salem News. She also works as an editorial assistant on The Complete Letters of Henry James, and for DearHenryJames.org she transcribed most of the letters by Mary Walsh James and helped proofread these and many of the other letters.

Jay S. Spina received an MA in English at Salem State College in May 2005. His thesis, "Novel Perspectives on Tattooing: Aphra Behn's Oroonoko, or the Royal Slave and Herman Melville's Typee: A Peep at Polynesian Life", examines the representation of clashing cultural perspectives associated with tattooing practices in these two narratives. Jay is an editorial assistant on The Complete Letters of Henry James. For DearHenryJames.org he has transcribed and helped to proofread most of the letters by Henry James, Sr., Charles Eliot Norton, Elizabeth and Francis Boott, and Mary Temple Tweedy.

Aaron Toleos, a professional web developer who completed his MA in English at Salem State College in May 2005, designed and developed the DearHenryJames.org website. He is also the creator of cinquain.org, a scholarly site examining the American cinquain as popularized by the poet Adelaide Crapsey. He can be contacted at aaron@toleos.com.
